Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is now infrastructure rather than novelty. It sits inside search, translation, logistics routing, fraud detection, medical imaging triage and an expanding share of ordinary software. That makes the interesting questions less about whether AI matters and more about which capabilities are genuinely established, which are early, and which are marketing.

This section separates three layers that public discussion tends to blur together: measured capability, plausible near-term extension, and speculation. Systems that generate fluent language are not the same as systems that reason reliably; a demonstration is not a deployment; and a benchmark result is not an economic outcome.

The work here follows model capability, agentic software, multimodal systems, evaluation and governance frameworks, and the practical constraints — data, energy, compute, trust and organisational design — that determine how quickly any of it reaches everyday life.
